promo

In this economy, that thankfully is finally turning around, it is still dificult to get employment. But for those of us that are employed, are we wlling to take risks and if so, how much of one? My employer has a position open and I've decided to throw my hat in the ring for it. Now realistically my chances of getting it are slim because of how the company operates, it's very politically connected, but I figure the worst they can tell me is no. I'm no stranger to the word "no" so they won't hurt my feelings and I have nothing to lose because even if they say "no" they will know that I'm serious about progression.

However, they should know that I'm serious because I went for and got a promotion a year ago. I do like what I do and the people I work with but why stifle myself when I have the talent, skills and gumption to go to the next level of me. I went for the previous upswing to hone my skills and experience and if they say no I'll keep working until they say yes or an opportunity arises to move on.

So if a promotion comes up, go for it, don't be afraid to hear the word"no" and if you do hear it keep working on improving yourself until they can't help but say yes.

Peace and blessings!

By Yourself

Since i've been back on public transportation the last couple of days i've realized that most people on there want to be by themselves.

I'll admit i am spoiled because my current place of employment is fairly close and i park for free, however, i am not new to riding a bus. Before i bought my first car and since i bought it i have ridden on public trans and a lot of times it's crowded and funky and loud and most unpleasant but cheap and sitting or standing close to someone is the price you pay for cheap, yet dependable transportation.

So if you want to be by yourself i suggest you drive, ride a bycicle or walk to your destination. If none of those are viable solutions then plug your ears with your favorite music or pull out your favorite book and it'll be just like you are by yourself.

Enjoy the ride, peace and blessings!
